💕A little personal note today…
💕I’ve shared this story before, but I feel like I should share it again. This USA Gymnastics state meet is always special to me. Because 5 years ago I showed up to this event for the first time, and about an hour in, the world shut down. The event was cancelled, the balloons were worthless, I packed it up and went home.
💕It was terrifying as a small business owner who had only just been in business for a matter of months. Thankfully they went ahead and paid me because this was out of their hands, but then in the next few days every event for the next few months canceled. The writing was on the wall, this little business was done for.
💕We had no business. But then I got creative. I realized so many people were home alone and sad and scared and needed a pick-me-up. There were birthdays being missed and weddings being canceled and elderly people trapped completely alone for so long. So I started offering no contact deliveries of giant helium bundles and @loblollycreamery ice cream. I was showing up at people’s doorstep with this bundle of joy, leaving it and running back to my car. Honestly I wish I could’ve recorded people’s faces when they would see their surprise. It’s something that stays with me. So many of you ordered these for your friends and loved ones that it completely kept my business afloat (pun intended)!
💕So THANK YOU for keeping this business booming! We have grown sooooo much in the past 5 years. We have an amazing team (@lexidgood, @olanreeves, @baileyebrock) who you will get to know more in the coming months.
